How to use
How to grow Rocket Sprouting Seeds
- Prepare a shallow tray with a damp hemp or coir mat, a few layers of kitchen paper or 1–2cm of moist seed compost.
- Sow: These seeds form a natural gel when wet, so don't soak them first. Scatter the seed thinly and evenly, using about 10–15g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray or 1–2 teaspoons for a 15 × 20cm tray.
- Cover for 2 days to keep the seeds dark and moist while they germinate. Mist them if the surface starts to dry.
- Grow on in bright light, watering from below so the base stays damp but not soggy.
- Cut just above the base once the first pair of leaves has opened, usually after 7–10 days.
Quality & Sourcing: Nature's Root selects high-quality organic seed and packs it carefully to maintain freshness. Batches are checked for quality and handled in line with good manufacturing practices.

You might also like
Can I grow rocket in a sprouting jar?
No. Rocket seeds form a gel when wet, so they clump together and spoil in a jar. Grow them on a damp tray, mat or kitchen paper instead.
How long do rocket microgreens take?
About 7–10 days from sowing.
How much seed should I use?
About 10–15g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray, or 1–2 teaspoons for a 15 × 20cm tray. Sow thinly, as crowded seedlings are prone to mould.
What do rocket microgreens taste like?
Like mature rocket but more concentrated: spicy, peppery and slightly nutty. They suit salads, pizza, sandwiches and pasta.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes.
How should I store the seeds?
Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and reseal the pouch after opening.
