How to use
How to grow Parsley Sprouting Seeds
- Prepare: soak the seed for 12–24 hours, changing the water once, then drain well.
- Sow in a single, close layer over 2–3cm of moist seed compost in a shallow tray with drainage holes. Use about 15–20g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray, or 4–5g for a 15 × 20cm tray. Cover with a very thin layer of compost.
- Cover for 5–7 days to keep them dark and moist while the roots take hold.
- Grow on in bright light, watering from below so the compost stays damp but not soggy.
- Cut just above the compost when the shoots are 4–6cm tall and the first leaves have opened, usually after 3–4 weeks.

Can I grow parsley in a sprouting jar?
No. Parsley takes up to three weeks to germinate, so it needs the steady moisture of compost rather than a jar.
Why is parsley so slow?
Parsley seeds have a tough coat that slows germination, often to 10–14 days. A long soak before sowing helps.
How long do parsley microgreens take?
About 3–4 weeks from sowing.
How much seed should I use?
About 15–20g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray, or 4–5g for a 15 × 20cm tray.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes.
How should I store the seeds?
Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and reseal the pouch after opening.
