Overview

Organic Coriander (Cilantro) Sprouting Seeds for growing fragrant microgreens (and jar sprouts, if desired). Best flavour as microgreens with citrusy, classic coriander notes.

Highlights

  • Certified organic, high-germination seeds (Coriandrum sativum)

  • Ideal for microgreens; jar sprouts possible with prep (see below)

  • Aromatic, fresh flavour for salads, tacos, bowls & garnishes

  • Windowsill friendly; no garden required

How to Grow (Microgreens, 12–18 days)

  1. Prep seed: For best germination, lightly crush/split the round seeds (mericarp) with a rolling pin or bottle. Optional soak 6–8 hrs, then drain.

  2. Tray: Line a shallow tray with 1–2 cm fine seed compost or a hemp/coco/cellulose mat. Moisten evenly—damp, not soggy.

  3. Sow: Spread in a single, fairly dense layer.

    • 10×20″ tray: 20–30 g seed

    • Small ~15×20 cm tray: 4–6 g

  4. Blackout: Cover for 3–4 days to encourage strong rooting. Keep evenly moist (prefer bottom-watering).

  5. Grow on: Uncover to bright, indirect light with airflow. Bottom-water to avoid damping-off.

  6. Harvest: Day 12–18 when cotyledons are open and first true leaves begin to show. Snip just above the medium; rinse and dry before use.

Optional Jar Sprouts (4–6 days — trickier)

  • Lightly crush/split seeds first. Soak 6–8 hrs, drain well.

  • Rinse & drain 2–3× daily; keep the jar tilted for airflow.

  • Harvest when short tails appear; final rinse and drain very thoroughly. (Note: coriander sprouts are more finicky than microgreens; microgreens give better flavour and yield.)
