Natures Root Organic Cacao Nibs
Cacao is the seed of a fruit from the Amazonian tree Theobroma cacao, which means "cacao, the food of the gods." The Aztecs and Mayans revered the cacao beans so much that they even used them as money.
Raw cacao is high in nutrients: antioxidants, tryptophan, chromium, iron, magnesium, anandamide, and PEA (phenylethylamine). Cacao is also high in sulphur, which is associated with beautiful and shiny skin, strong hair and nails, and a clean pancrease and liver.
These organic cacao nibs are raw, organically certified, and carefully handled.
Can be eaten by itself as a snack or added to smoothies for flavor enhancement. Can also be incorporated with many recipes such as crushing and mixing these cacao nibs with raw ice creams. A sweetener such as agave nectar can also be added with the raw cacao nibs.
