Overview
Organic Rocket (Arugula) Microgreen Sprouting Seeds for growing fresh, peppery microgreens at home. Rocket is a mucilaginous seed, so it’s best grown on a tray/mat (cress-style) rather than as jar sprouts.
Highlights
-
Certified organic, high-germination rocket (Eruca sativa)
-
Designed for microgreens / cress-style growing (not jar rinsing)
-
Ready fast: 5–7 days to harvest
-
Bold, peppery flavour for salads, sandwiches & bowls
How to Grow (Tray/Mat Method)
-
No soak. Rinse briefly in a sieve.
-
Line a shallow tray with a hemp/coco/cellulose mat or 1–2 cm fine seed compost. Moisten evenly—damp, not soggy.
-
Sow lightly in a single thin layer (avoid clumps).
-
10×20″ tray: 10–15 g seed
-
Small ~15×20 cm tray: 1–2 tsp
-
-
Mist to settle seeds, then cover 24–48 hrs (blackout lid/another tray) to encourage germination.
-
Uncover to bright, indirect light. Keep evenly moist—ideally bottom-water. Avoid standing water on the surface.
-
Harvest day 5–7 when cotyledons are open and flavour is peppery.
Cress-screen method (no soil): Spread rinsed seed thinly on a fine mesh or smooth tray with tiny drain holes; mist 2–3× daily to keep the gel just moist (not swimming). Ready in 3–4 days.

FAQs
What is it?
Organic rocket (arugula) seeds for growing microgreens — not a powder.
Why not jar sprouts?
Rocket forms a natural gel (mucilage) when wet. In jars this traps water and can go slimy. A tray/mat method gives clean, reliable results.
How do I use it?
Follow the tray/mat steps above. Keep sowing light, ensure airflow, and bottom-water.
What does it taste like?
Peppery, classic rocket flavour; great in salads, wraps, and bowls.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes.
How should I store it?
Keep seeds sealed, cool and dry. Refrigerate harvested microgreens and consume within 2–3 days.
