Overview
Organic Split Coriander Sprouting Seeds (Coriandrum sativum) for growing fragrant microgreens (and jar sprouts, if desired). The seeds are pre-split (de-hulled/mericarp separated) for improved germination and more even growth.
Highlights
-
Certified organic, high-germination split coriander seeds
-
Best for microgreens; jar sprouts possible and easier than whole seed
-
Bright, citrus-herbal coriander flavour for salads, tacos, bowls & garnishes
-
Reliable countertop growing — year-round
How to Grow
Microgreens (12–18 days)
-
No crushing needed (already split). Optional soak 4–6 hrs; drain well.
-
Prepare a shallow tray with 1–2 cm fine seed compost or a hemp/coco/cellulose mat. Moisten evenly — damp, not soggy.
-
Sow evenly in a single, fairly dense layer.
-
10×20″ tray: 20–30 g seed
-
~15×20 cm tray: 4–6 g
-
-
Blackout 3–4 days with a lid/second tray to encourage strong rooting; keep evenly moist (prefer bottom-watering).
-
Uncover to bright, indirect light with airflow; continue bottom-watering to avoid damping-off.
-
Harvest day 12–18 when cotyledons are open and first true leaves begin to appear. Snip just above the medium; rinse and dry before use.
Optional Jar Sprouts (4–6 days — easier with split seed)
-
Soak 6–8 hrs, then drain thoroughly.
-
Rinse & drain 2–3× daily; keep the jar tilted for airflow/drainage.
-
Harvest when short tails appear; final rinse and drain very well before refrigeration.
(Note: flavour and yield are usually better as microgreens.)
