Overview
Henna Powder is made from the dried, ground leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis). It gives a rich red-orange stain and is used as a plant-based hair colour and for traditional mehndi body art.
For hair, henna is often mixed with indigo to create brown shades.
For external, cosmetic use only. Do not eat or drink.

How to Use
- Patch test 48 hours before each use: apply a little to the inside of your elbow and don't use it if irritation appears. Also do a strand test on a small hidden section of hair to check the colour
- Mix with lemon juice or warm water to a smooth, creamy paste
- Wear gloves, apply to clean hair, cover and leave, then rinse with water only
- Not for use on eyebrows or eyelashes, and not for use on children
Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets. Reseal after opening.
For external use only. Not a food. Keep away from eyes; if contact occurs, rinse well with water. Stop use if irritation occurs.
FAQs
Can I eat or drink it? No. It is for external use on hair or skin only.
What colour will I get? A red-orange tone that deepens over the following days. Results vary with your natural hair colour, so strand test first.
Can I make it darker? Yes. Mix with, or apply indigo over, henna for brown to darker shades.
Is this the same as "black henna"? No. This is plain henna leaf powder. "Black henna" products can contain added dyes; always check what you're buying.
Will it stain? Yes, it can stain skin, nails, surfaces and towels. Wear gloves.
