Overview
Aritha Powder, also known as reetha or soapnut, is made from the dried, ground fruit shells of the soapnut tree. Mixed with water it gives a soft, low natural lather, which is why it has long been used in traditional Indian hair washing.
It is usually mixed with shikakai and amla powders to make a homemade hair wash.
For external, cosmetic use only. Do not eat or drink.

How to Use
- Patch test 48 hours before each use: apply a little to the inside of your elbow and don't use it if irritation appears
- Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons with warm water to a thin, runny paste
- Massage into wet hair and scalp, then rinse thoroughly
- Keep well away from eyes: aritha stings if it gets into them
Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets. Reseal after opening.

FAQs
Can I eat or drink it? No. It is for external use on hair or skin only.
How do I use it as a hair wash? Mix with warm water to a thin paste, work into wet hair and scalp, then rinse well. Many people mix it with shikakai and amla powder.
Does it lather like shampoo? It gives a much softer, lower lather than shampoo. That's normal.
