About 5–6 days from soaking, with a final day in indirect light so the leaves turn green.
How much seed should I use?
About 2 tablespoons for a 1-litre jar.
What do clover sprouts taste like?
Mild and slightly sweet, similar to alfalfa but a little larger and crunchier. They suit sandwiches, wraps and salads.
Should I cook sprouts before eating them?
Yes. The Food Standards Agency advises cooking sprouted seeds until they're steaming hot all the way through, unless they're sold as ready to eat. Home-grown sprouts aren't, so cook them before eating.
