Anwendung
So ziehst du Bio-Basilikum-Sprossensamen
- Prepare a shallow tray with a damp hemp or coir mat or 1–2cm of moist seed compost.
- Sow: These seeds form a natural gel when wet, so don't soak them first. Sow onto the damp surface and leave them undisturbed. Scatter the seed thinly and evenly, using about 8–10g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray or 2–3g for a 15 × 20cm tray.
- Cover for 3–4 days to keep the seeds dark and moist while they germinate. Mist them if the surface starts to dry.
- Grow on in bright light, watering from below so the base stays damp but not soggy. Basil likes warmth, so keep it at 20–25°C if you can.
- Cut just above the base once the first pair of leaves has fully opened, usually after 2–3 weeks.
Quality & Sourcing: Nature's Root selects high-quality organic seed and packs it carefully to maintain freshness. Batches are checked for quality and handled in line with good manufacturing practices.

Hilfreiche Antworten
Fragen vor dem Kauf
Deine Frage ist nicht dabei? Schreib uns und wir helfen dir gern weiter.
Can I grow basil in a sprouting jar?
No. Basil seeds form a gel when wet, so they clump together and spoil in a jar. Grow them on a damp tray, mat or kitchen paper instead.
How long do basil microgreens take?
About 2–3 weeks. Germination takes 4–7 days and is faster somewhere warm.
How much seed should I use?
About 8–10g for a standard 25 × 50cm tray, or 2–3g for a 15 × 20cm tray.
Why are my basil seeds covered in jelly?
That's normal. Basil seeds form a gel coat when wet, which holds moisture around the seed as it germinates.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes.
How should I store the seeds?
Keep them sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and reseal the pouch after opening.
